This may be wholly predictable, but it's Nosferatu. Especially now it's been restored to its former glory, properly tinted and the like.
For a start, the first real vampire movie. Whats not to like?
Second, the effects were fabulous for the time.
Third, I just love it. The whole darn thing.
Fourth, It created the whole idea of Vampires are killed by sunlight. LEGEND.
Fifth, Bram Stoker's widow tried to get it destroyed for being a Dracula rip-off. She failed. Even when she had seized every known copy, the film, like the vampire himself, just kept raising it's ugly head and capturing attention.
This film is a survivor. And it's beautiful. And my review of it ages ago just served to make me love it all the more. Respect it, bitches.
